Theme: "Uganda Tusimbudde! Our Science-Led Journey Towards a Social Economic Transformation"

Date: 6th - 11th November 2023 | Venue: Kololo Independence Grounds

The National Science Week (NSW) is a hallmark event in Uganda's calendar, celebrated every year to honor Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI). Culminating in the commemoration of World Science Day for Peace and Development on November 10, this week-long event has been celebrated since 2009. The focus of NSW is to promote STI through various platforms such as exhibitions, conferences, media engagements, and information sharing scheduled from 6th to 11th November 2023 at Kololo Independence Grounds, Kampala.

Objectives

  • To demonstrate how STI is addressing the Ugandan struggle by showcasing Progress Made.

  • To highlight the opportunities available for individuals, businesses, and communities to engage with and benefit from the science-led initiatives, and to demonstrate their potential impact on economic growth.

  • To inspire confidence in Ugandan science, technology, and innovation, by sharing success stories and motivating individuals to explore their potential role in contributing to the nation's science-led journey towards socio-economic transformation.
